Stuart has been playing folk music since his teens. He was resident singer at the Wayzgoose Club in Stockwell, London for two years. He has played in a number of bands, including Saltscar and Tarbolton on Teesside, and has started calling since moving into Cumbria in 1990. He plays rhythm guitar and sings in Village Green and accordion for Belfagan Women's Morris in Cockermouth

BRIDGET HILTON - accordion

Bridget

A sometime junior accordion champion, Bridget has taken more recently to folk music and joined the band in 2006. She now enjoys playing for Belfagan Women's Morris and as a member of Piping Hot Recorders. Don't be surprised if she gets her recorder out.

Helen played in a folk band in the Swansea area. She teaches in a local primary school, offering music to a new generation of enthusiasts. She enjoys dancing and is full of energy.

SARAH KEKUS - Violin

Sarah has a deep interest in folk music and has inspired many young musicians through her work at Wyndham Music Centre. She now works for the Sage, Gateshead, from where she reaches a wider audience.

Our blend of strings, reeds and woodwind is common to many bands and provides balance and harmony.

Occasionally, if one of our regular musicians is unavailable, one of our select group of very competent musicians is substituted.
